Blue light is a narrow, high-energy slice of the visible spectrum — the part your screens flood you with. Block it, and the colour you see is the proof it’s working.

Real protection has a color
Blocking blue light means absorbing it — and absorbing it always leaves a color behind. That’s physics, not styling. Clear lenses can’t block meaningfully, because if they did, they wouldn’t be clear. The deeper the tint, the more blue light stops at the lens instead of your eyes.
